Stage magic

STAGE MAGICIAN FOR LARGER AUDIENCES

One performance, one room, everybody watching the same impossible moment at the same time.

Stage magic is the opposite discipline to close up. Rather than moving between small groups, Mr. Vail performs a single structured show from the front of the room so every guest shares the same experience together.

The show combines large scale magic, participatory mind reading and storytelling, built so that the person in the furthest seat is as involved as the volunteer standing beside him.

What the show includes

The performance is theatrical rather than a series of unconnected tricks. Routines are linked by narrative, volunteers are brought up from the audience, and the pacing builds toward a closing piece designed to be the moment people remember.

Running order and length are agreed in advance so the show fits your schedule, typically after a meal, between speeches, or as the main entertainment of an evening.

What is needed from the venue

A clear performance area at the front of the room, a reasonable sightline for seated guests, and a microphone or sound system for larger audiences. Most venues used for weddings, corporate dinners and celebrations already have this.

Mr. Vail discusses the room, audience size and timing before the date so nothing has to be improvised on the night.

Booking and duration

Stage magic starts from £350 for two hours, with three, four and five hour options and an all day rate of £900 for full event coverage. Longer bookings usually combine a stage show with close up magic around the room.

Mr. Vail performs at your venue across Colchester, Essex, Ipswich, Suffolk, Chelmsford and London, and travels to surrounding areas on request.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much does a stage magic show cost?
Stage magic starts at £350 for two hours. Three hours is £450, four hours £550, five hours £650 and an all day booking is £900.
How large an audience can the show work for?
The show is built for full rooms rather than small groups. With a suitable performance area and sound for larger audiences, it works from around fifty guests upward.
Can stage magic and close up magic be combined?
Yes, and longer bookings often do exactly that: close up magic during a reception or dinner, then a stage show later in the evening.
