MAGICIAN IN COLCHESTER

Colchester is home ground. It is where the practice happened, and where most bookings still begin.

Mr. Vail is based in the Colchester area of Essex, which makes it the simplest place in the country to book him. There is no travel cost debate, no long journey to factor into your timings, and no uncertainty about arriving early enough to see the room before guests do.

Colchester events run across an unusually wide range of venues, from converted barns and country hotels used for weddings through to town centre restaurants, function rooms and private homes. Close up magic suits all of them because it needs nothing from the venue except people to perform for.

Why close up magic works well in Colchester venues

Many popular Colchester wedding and party venues are rural conversions with separate spaces for the ceremony, drinks and meal. That creates natural gaps where guests are moved, photographed or seated while food is prepared, exactly the moments close up magic is designed to fill.

In town, restaurant and function room bookings tend to be seated for long stretches, which suits table to table magic between courses rather than a stage show.

Local availability and timings

Being local means Mr. Vail can arrive well before an agreed start time, speak to your coordinator and adjust to a schedule that has slipped, which happens at almost every event.

It also makes shorter bookings practical. A single hour of close up magic at £150 is realistic for a Colchester event in a way that it would not be for a venue several hours away.

Learning magic in Colchester

One to one magic lessons at £30 per hour are arranged in the Colchester area, which makes them a genuine option locally rather than something only available online.
